My relationship to ADHD

When I received my own ADHD diagnosis as an adult, everything changed. I finally understood why I had felt “different” since childhood, why I was labeled a “dreamer,” why I repeatedly had trouble regulating my emotions.

Why I often found it so difficult to make decisions, only to make them again completely impulsively. Why I excelled in areas that interested me, while I was overwhelmed by tasks that others seemed to handle effortlessly.

How often had I asked myself, am I maybe just lazy and incapable after all?

After my diagnosis, I wanted to learn everything I could about ADHD to understand
how my brain works. I realized that while my ADHD sometimes caused me problems, it also plays an important role in my creativity, which has always served me well as a filmmaker. Or in my open-mindedness when interacting with others.

It quickly became clear to me that from now on I wanted to support people with ADHD and related disorders. So I trained as a certified ADHD coach. I now support numerous children, families and adults who are confronted with all kinds of challenges related to ADHD and related disorders.
